Potter & Soar have been manufacturing wire meshes
and wire products since early in the 19th Century. We
have always believed ourselves to be market leaders in
developing new uses for wire meshes and in encouraging
innovative applications. In recent years the company has
been instrumental in helping to raise the awareness of
architects and designers to the exciting possibilities
offered by metallic meshes in architectural applications.
This
site introduces a wider range of styles and patterns than
has previously been available, and demonstrates some of the
project applications for our materials. This will hopefully
inspire further imaginative uses for these very versatile
materials as well as clearly demonstrating Potter & Soar's
manufacturing flexibility and willingness to work with architects
and designers to develop interesting and innovative patterns.
Our listing details a wide variety of projects, applications
and mesh patterns; by clicking on a project of interest you
can view several photographs, the full technical detail of
the pattern used as well as other specific project information.
Our range of Metal Meshes for Architecture is available in many different
patterns, each with it's own characteristics and optical effect. Many of
these patterns are unique to Potter and Soar and are design registered. They
are illustrated throughout the patterns section of this site and can be
manufactured in a wide range of specifications to either increase or
decrease the density, texture or transparency of product. In addition many
of these patterns are self-supporting, therefore reducing both cost and
complications with regard to fabrication and installation.
Our applications page lists but a few of the many applications
and seemingly endless opportunities for these very versatile
materials.
