Benefits:
The strength and free screening area advantages of woven wire screens over alternative media make them ideal for a wide range of applications. Potter & Soar have successfully supplied woven wire screens to many industries including: quarrying, mining, water, waste, agriculture, food and pharmaceutical amongst many others.

Materials
The most widely used material for our woven wire screens is High Tensile Steel. Potter & Soar have worked with our suppliers to formulate wire to give optimum resistance to abrasion under the toughest conditions. Alternatively we can offer screens manufactured from Stainless Steel Wire where dictated by difficult screening conditions. Screens manufactuerd from Aluminium, Copper, Brass, Monel, Inconel and Incoloy are also all regularly supplied for a variety of industrial screening applications.

Types of weave:
1. Hytex screens are normally supplied in DOUBLE CRIMP (plain weave) construction. Wires are crimped evenly in the warp and the weft and woven together to provide a strong rigid mesh. The standard weave type.

2. CORRUGATED. (double intermediate crimp) screens have additional crimps in both the warp and the weft to provide a rigid mesh where the aperture size is large in relationship to the wire diameter.

3. LOKMESH is woven with positive crimps at each intersection of wire. This locks the mesh together and is normally used with the heavier wire diameter.

4. Where a smooth mesh surface is required LOKMESH FLAT TOP is woven with crimps only on one side of the mesh.
